The Bob Evans Restaurant, one of the first in the country for the large chain based in Central Ohio, was gutted by fire May 9, 2018.

For details, see the Columbus Dispatch article.

The fire has resulted in the two main businesses with frontage on 161, west of I-71, being available for development. The Giant Eagle, which closed last year, is located next to the Bob Evans.
